My brother had a short-lived Tumblr called the Sunday Evening Post. It was a good piece of internet: a few links, some commentary, and regularly published on Sunday nights.

I decided to follow suit. In March of 2013 I found two must-read articles from my week on the internet. Both were related to baseball.

It was from these beginnings that I began to publish Reading, a Friday afternoon email with my top links about politics, technology, and more. Below is the original post that started it all.

The first link is from my former colleague Rob Bluey. Rob wrote a short piece for The Atlantic on how sports analytics can instruct politics:

Data is an incredibly valuable resource for organizations, but you must be able to communicate its value to stakeholders making decisions -- whether that's in the pursuit of athletes or voters.
