I coach entrepreneurs to deliver winning pitches because I speak the language of business.
Donny Palmertree, principal of Caerus Real Estate, is a brilliant financier and ridiculously hard worker. When he approached me to draft an investment proposal, I knew I'd be getting a smart idea. But Donny, like many really smart people, often bogged down his brilliance with too many details. I helped him get the basic idea across in a compelling way.
Problem: Donny needed a document to hand to interested investors to help educate them on his business model. His early drafts got the basic idea across, but included a ton of extra information. The challenge was to simplify the presentation into an effective description without losing the key points of his strategy--the investors needed to understand exactly what they were being offered.

Strategy: Donny and I had several initial conversations and then embarked on a multi-stage drafting process. We took the original draft (and a few more ideas) back to the drawing board. We built a conversational framework: a picture of how this document fit into Donny's conversations with potential investors. This framework, a vivid picture, helped us agree on what elements belonged and how they fit together.
Execution: After agreeing on the framework, Donny and I built an outline and drafted the document. After a few revisions, we had a prospectus and a case study. The document effectively packaged Donny and his strategy with clear explanations and an accessible example.
